The Law of 1947 stipulated that the government would support the building of museums and monuments, and to install commemorative plaques dedicated to the Landing.



But the D.Day Landing Museum achieved such great success that the Comité du Débarquement could provide for these investments. The Committee decides and prepares many initiatives and gives its support to communes or institutions initiating projects concerning the landing.
